Helicopter Tour Pilot - R44

Sky Tours is seeking qualified pilots for its sightseeing tour operation in Southeastern Oklahoma near Beavers Bend State Park and Hot Springs AR. Pilots will fly a Robinson R44 on defined tours departing from Hochatown, Oklahoma or Hot Springs AR. As pilots will interact with the public in the tourism industry, excellent communication, friendly personality, and a service-driven work ethic are a must for this position. Pilots receive hourly base pay + tips and lodging is provided if not in a commutable distance.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate a R44 Raven I helicopter for a Part 91 tour operation in a safe and legal manner
• Follow tour flight paths ranging from 7 to 17 minutes, custom options possible
• Complete preflight planning, preparation, weather evaluation, and checks for fuel, weight, and balance
• Make final decision on start, delay, or cancellation of flights or deviation in planned tour routes
• Safety inspection and regular cleaning of aircraft and flight area before and after tours
• Greet and engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner (bonus points if you’re funny)
• Secure aircraft in hangar at end of each daily shift
