SpeedBird is an FAA Part 135 Aircraft Charter operator based in Central Florida. We have a 14 aircraft helicopter program that does news, frost contracts and row crop spraying contracts with miscellaneous contracts throughout the year. We have on-site sales, operations, flight department, and maintenance team. We are a high-growth team in a fast-paced market. Role:

In this role you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations of Company operated aircraft in accordance with SpeedBird’s policies and procedures. It is important to us that all employees work together to ensure company operational goals are met, while guaranteeing all aircraft maintenance and documentation is executed in accordance with all Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies, and procedures, and all applicable maintenance manuals. Our current fleet is comprised of Bell 206L1,3,4, Bell 206B, B3, UH-1, R44, R66 and an EC130.

Our ideal candidate has experience in Part 91/135 maintenance working on our helicopter fleet. We are seeking a hard working self sufficient mechanic that takes pride in their work.

Responsibilities:

14/14 rotation will mainly be based at our facility at Orlando Executive Airport and will also consist of occasional travel.

Performs inspections and repairs of aircraft and components in accordance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.

Ensure aircraft maintenance documentation is executed in compliance with applicable FARs, company policies, and applicable maintenance manuals to include specific chapters.

Hold responsibility for correcting compliance or safety issues when directed by Director of Operations, Director / Assistant Director of Maintenance, or Lead Mechanic.

Hold responsibility for validating / confirming status report data as required.

Verify part number / serial number are correctly associated with aircraft documentation.

Maintain work area in a safe, clean, and professional manner.

Perform occasional maintenance on shop aircraft service equipment.

Request parts and supplies as required to maintain shop supply.

Other duties may be assigned on occasion.
