While approaching to land on a support truck, the helicopter experienced a loss of engine power. The pilot attempted to autorotate to land and the helicopter experienced a hard landing. The right skid broke, and the main rotor blades struck the ground and the tail boom. The helicopter sustained substantial damage to the fuselage and tail boom. The pilot attributed the loss of engine power due to a possible fuel pump failure.

November 8, 2022 - Bedford, Texas - Global night vision solutions provider and industry leader, REBTECH has announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) and cooperation with the optoelectronic device, night vision, and thermal imaging producer PCO, an integral part of the capital group, Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ). The MOU was signed at the 30th International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce, Poland on September 7th. The two companies will cooperate in developing REBTECH’s “Total Night Vision Package” that includes night vision goggle service and support, conversion of airframes to night vision compatibility as well as flight training offerings. U.S. based Night Flight Concepts and England based company, Helispeed will provide night vision training curriculums as well as aircraft flight training.

The HCare In-Service package has been tailored to SAF Aerogroup’s specific operational needs, providing them with parts availability by-the-hour services to optimise the fleet’s maintenance and performance. SAF Aerogroup, again via its entity Aero Support Force, has also signed a second contract to retrofit 15 of its H125 helicopters with crash-resistant fuel system (CRFS). The fleet of H125s are operated by SAF Aerogroup’s subsidiaries: SAF Hélicoptères and Helilagon.

Cologne, 8 November 2022 – The Helicopter Company (THC), established by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) as the first helicopter services provider licensed to operate commercial flights in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has signed an HCare In-Service contract to cover their fleet of 20 five-bladed H145 helicopters. The fleet of H145s was ordered in December 2021 and will be deployed across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS); five have been delivered and the remaining 15 are expected to be completed by the end of 2024. The HCare In-Service package has been tailored to THC’s specific operational needs, providing them with parts availability by-the-hour services to optimise the fleet’s maintenance and performance.
