Hoist Rescue from Surprise Lake

On 8-14-2020, the King County Sheriff's Office Air Support Unit hoisted out an injured camper on the south side of Surprise Lake. The King County Sheriff's Office responded utilizing our 1970 Bell UH-1(Huey), Callsign Guardian 2. Guardian 2 hoisted out one of our trained deputies and was able to package the patient, with the help of a couple of Corgies. The King County Sheriff's Office helicopter is a regional asset and does not charge for the rescues it performs under FAA Public Use Laws.
