Bell executives and city officials celebrated this achievement together in the police department’s hangar at Meacham Airport. The relationship between Bell and the city of Fort Worth dates back almost 75 years.

IRVING, Texas, Mar. 3, 2026 – FreeFlight Systems announced it has received FAA Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) supporting installation of its RA-4500 MK II radar altimeter on the Bell 407 and Airbus AS350 helicopters. The FAA also issued corresponding Alternative Methods of Compliance (AMOCs), confirming the approved configurations meet the requirements of FAA AD 2023-11-07 for radio altimeter tolerance in the 5G C-band environment.
