NBAA Business Aviation Convention andamp; Exhibition will take place Oct. 17-19 in Las Vegas, Nevada and organizers are finalizing plans for the aircraft displays. Displays will be at both the Henderson Executive Airport (HND) and inside the Las Vegas Convention Center. There will be new aircraft on display for visitors, as well as unique pieces and an opportunity to see the latest in the industry.This year's convention has something special at both the indoor and outdoor displays, including aircraft making their first appearances at NBAA-BACE," said Joe Hart, NBAA Director of aircraft displays.
This year, conventioneers can see the debut of the Airbus ACJ220 and the Textron Beechcraft Denali. At the Convention Center, a Daher TBM 960 will be on display alongside a Robinson R-66 and Sikorsky S-76. Hart said there were several other OEM announcements expected to be made during the week-long convention. For the first time, NBAA-BACE will also feature a dedicated, raised viewing platform for a striking view of the showcase.The Beechcraft Denali was on display at EAA AirVenture this year. Development began in November 2021 and there are now three prototypes flying. The Denali will be the first to feature the new GE Catalyst engines. The engine is on track to be certified next year and the first deliveries of the Denali are anticipated to begin in 2025. On the exhibit floor, attendees can see the Aero L-39 "Cinejet", Embraer Phenom 300 Camera Jet and an Airbus H124 Camera Helicopter which were used in the filming of Top Gun: Maverick. Kevin LaRosa II, a motion picture stunt and aerial coordinator behind the flight scenes in the movie, as well as a keynote speaker at the convention in 2022, has coordinated the presence of the aircraft this year and will be at the show to discuss the use of the aircraft in the film. The L-39 was the aircraft used to tail the Falcon 8X during its run through Star Wars Canyon."Flying these aircraft on "Top Gun: Maverick" was the thrill of a lifetime and I look forward to sharing this exclusive insight with the attendees of NBAA-BACE," LaRosa said.
