Textron Aviation announces Hahn Air as Citation CJ3 Gen2 European launch customer

(Left to right: Ron Draper, Textron Aviation; Captain Daniel Rudas, Hahn Air) Textron Aviation today announced that Hahn Air has entered into a purchase agreement to be the European launch customer for the just-announced Cessna Citation CJ3 Gen2. The deal, inked during the National Business Aviation Association - Business Aviation Convention andamp; Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) event at Las Vegas, also includes a new Cessna Citation Latitude. Both aircraft are expected to deliver in 2026. The Cessna Citation CJ3 Gen2 and Cessna Citation Latitude are designed and manufactured by Textron Aviation Inc., a?Textron Inc.? company. "Hahn Air is an outstanding operator, and we are excited to see the company upgrade their aircraft," said Duncan Van De Velde, vice president of European Sales, Textron Aviation. "The new Citation CJ3 Gen2 and Citation Latitude perfectly align with Hahn Air's commitment to delivering a premium service to its customers." Hahn Air has been a loyal Citation operator for nearly two decades and exclusively services the company's fleet at Textron Aviation's Düsseldorf Service Center. The new Citation Latitude and CJ3 Gen2 will replace Hahn Air's existing Citation Latitude and CJ3+. "For nearly two decades we have operated Citation business jets and this new order of the most reliable jets within the Cessna family will ensure we provide our customers with safe and comfortable flights, and a memorable and enjoyable experience." Announced at NBAA-BACE, the Citation CJ3 Gen2 is currently under development and expected to enter into service in the U.S. in 2025. About the Citation CJ3 Gen2 The Cessna Citation CJ3 Gen2 redefines business aviation, setting new standards in the light jet market. Designed with pilot input, the cockpit boasts a spacious 4.5 inches of extra legroom for the pilot. The Garmin G3000 avionics system features autothrottle technology and seamless connectivity for reduced workload and heightened situational awareness, as well as optional Enhanced Vision?System (EVS) to provide improved clarity and optimized situational awareness. Passengers will appreciate the spacious and customizable cabin where they can create their ideal environment with features such as optional swivel seating, RGB accent lighting, USB-C power at every seat, wireless charging, executive tables and ample storage. The lavatory features CoolView skylights for natural light, an optional modern sink and vanity, and is externally serviceable for added convenience. The Citation CJ3 Gen2 will offer standard seating for nine passengers, with an option for eight passengers with additional storage. With a maximum range of 2,040 nm and a maximum payload of 2,135 pounds, the Citation CJ3 Gen2 offers excellent range, payload and superior field performance to enable pilots to achieve a variety of missions in extensive conditions. About the Cessna Citation Latitude The Citation Latitude, with a four-passenger range of 2,700 nautical miles (5,000 km) at high-speed cruise, is set apart from the competition by its combination of comfort and efficiency. The aircraft's class-leading take-off field length of 3,580 feet provides operators with greater range out of short fields. Inside, the Latitude offers an unrivaled cabin experience featuring the most open, spacious, bright and refined cabin environment in its category. With a flat floor and six feet of cabin height, innovation abounds with exceptional features designed throughout the aircraft.
