Signature Aviation announced Tuesday it had acquired the award-winning private aviation company Meridian, with bases in Teterboro Airport (TEB) in New Jersey and Hayward Executive Airport (HWD) in California.
The transaction was completed on Jan. 1 and Meridian's TEB and HWD bases will join Signature's growing global network. Now, Signature has more additional opportunities to invest in the field and to promote aviation services. With the acquisition, Signature has an expanded network of FBO and hangar locations for customers to use while traveling. The world's largest private aviation terminal operator has bolstered its commitment to providing exceptional customer service and experiences. With the acquisition, Signature now has more opportunities for team members in both companies.
"We're excited to welcome Meridian into the Signature family given our shared mission to operate safely and provide excellent customer service and a great team member experience," Signature Aviation CEO Tony Lefebvre said. "Meridian has a phenomenal history of exceptional service that we look forward to preserving and leveraging across our network."
With the acquisition, Meridian's bases join Signature's network of over 200 locations in 27 countries across five continents. In the coming months, the two teams will work to execute a smooth transition including incorporating best practices from both companies, enhancing site plans, updating the branding and integrating Meridian team members into the Signature family.
"We embarked on this journey having a strong sense of which company would best build on the incredible legacy we've created, delivering award-winning service to our customers and treating our team members like family," Meridian CEO Ken Forester. "Signature is best positioned to do just that through their great network, providing even more services to our customers and opportunities to our people."
