MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH received an EASA STC for the installation of a 3-blade Propeller on a Cessna 182 series aircraft. The FAA STC is still in progress.
The STC applies to the Cessna 182 series and F182 series aircraft, including models 182H, 182J, 182K, 182L, 182M, 182P, 182Q, F182P and F182Q with a Teledyne Continental Motor IO-550-D. The EASA STC was issued on Dec. 5 and announced in January.What is included in the STC Kit
MT-Propeller VP Martin Albrecht spoke of the installation advantages. The prop has improved vibration-dampening characteristics, offering almost vibration-free propeller operations. The new prop is bonded on a stainless steel leading edge, providing quality erosion protection for the blades. There is unlimited blade life, FOD repairable blades and more ground clearance for less FOD. With the prop, there is noise reduction inside and outside of the aircraft.
