Sheltair renovates Tampa Bay FBOs

Sheltair TPA renovationsTwo of Sheltair Aviation's Florida FBOs are undergoing renovations to modernize the look and enhance the customer experience. Sheltair Aviation's FBOs at the St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport (PIE) and Tampa International Airport (TPA) are being renovated to update the look and feel of the facilities as well as to improve the experience for travelers. PIE renovations are focused on the two-story atrium lobby with a central staircase leading to the second-floor offices, including a refurnished conference room. The ground-level pilot lounge has a revamped look with all new furnishings and improvements to the flight planning room. PIE also welcomed the addition of a customer service manager's office next to reception and a coffee station to better serve guests. "Our beautiful FBO terminal at St. Petersburg-Clearwater has always been a point of pride," PIE GM Deen Walker said. "We want it to look its best, and work well for our guests. We're confident this renovation has accomplished that." There are also ongoing upgrades to the Sheltair FBO at TPA following the completion of the $16-million hangar complex. The floorplan modifications include expanding the entry lobby to allow for more guest seating and relocating flight planning services to the pilot's lounge. The smaller conference room will also be relocated to increase the seating capacity. Renovations will also include the addition of a new customer service desk, back-counter check-in area and a designated mail room.RELATED STORY:Sheltair completes hangar expansion in Tampa TPA's upgrades include fully-renovated restrooms with new fixtures and finishes, an open-floorplan conference room, a conference table and a new wet bar with lounge seating, a built-in TV credenza and motorized leather recliners in the pilot's lounge. The look will be given a modern update as well, with new wallcoverings, tile flooring with a natural-wood look, new carpet near the lobby airside window and second-floor office corridors, updated lobby seating and an advertising banner LED screen above the airside vestibule. In total, Sheltair has invested an estimated $2.05 million in Tampa-area renovations. Both Sheltair TPA and PIE offer guests access to primary roads in their respective locations. Both of the FBOs offer on-site rental cars, crew cars and U.S. Customs clearance to help guests move on to their next destination. "We value all our customers and always want them to feel comfortable about flying into a Sheltair FBO," Sheltair President and CEO Lisa Holland said. "That's why we're continuously investing in our facilities to better serve our guests as a premier gateway to the markets that Sheltair serves."
