(L-R): Schweizer MRO Manager Matt Craft, Schweizer President and CEO David Horton, Designated Airworthiness Representative C.J. Daniels, and Schweizer Accountable Manager Mick Birdsell.
Fort Worth, Texas (November 30, 2023) – Schweizer, manufacturer of the proven Schweizer S300, S300CBi, and S333 helicopters, is proud to announce it has earned FAA Part 145 Repair Station certification. The certification allows Schweizer to repair and overhaul its aircraft and components at the factory with an FAA-approved quality system.
“We are extremely grateful to our partners at the FAA who helped us earn this additional level of quality assurance and capability as we continue to build back the trusted Schweizer brand,” says David Horton, President and CEO of Schweizer. “We are pleased to provide this level of certification to our customers and are now in the processes of applying for similar EASA approval to further expand our support for Schweizer owners and operators.”
The new repair station certificate allows Schweizer to increase its services to include overhauling transmissions and other labor intensive components in house. This reduces the overhead and delays that can occur when relying on third parties to perform the work. Schweizer will now be able to provide these services faster and at a lower cost.
