AvAir welcomes new CFO and President

AvAir, an inventory solutions provider for the aviation aftermarket, has made introduced two recent changes to the company leadership team Executive Vice President of Sales, Brandon Wesson, has been promoted to President and Chief Accounting Officer, Bob Knox, has been promoted to CFO. Wesson joined AvAir in 2010 as director of sales and was promoted to VP of sales in 2016, shortly after he was promoted to executive VP, looking after a team of 70 people to support the company's asset management programs, material acquisitions and sales. "Brandon has proven he is strategic, nimble, and an exemplary leader," AvAir CEO Mike Bianco said. "We're thrilled to support his continued growth and recognize the unique talents he brings to our team." With his new position as president, Wesson will work with the executive leadership team to drive initiatives and guarantee an efficient and successful execution of daily operations and partnerships. The new CFO, Knox, joined AvAir as the chief accounting officer in 2016 and had previously spent time as director of finance for a large provider of high-tech carbon fiber composite aerospace materials. While working as chief accounting officer for AvAir, Knox established many accounting practices to improve financial control and grow available working capital in order to fund growth. "Bob is a critical part of our success and this is a well-deserved recognition and promotion," Bianco said. "His strategic approach, exceptional insights and problem-solving skills are only a few of the unique characteristics that help him stand apart from others in the field." Knox will be a key member of the changing executive team, implementing the company's financial strategy, designing growth plans and identifying investment opportunities to improve AvAir's position in the aftermarket. AvAir has 22 years in the business and offers customized solutions for customers and suppliers to buy, sell, exchange, loan or lease inventories with over 26 million in-stock components.
