The NBAA has announced the new Business Aircraft Scheduler Certificate Program ahead of the 2023 NBAA Schedulers andamp; Dispatchers Conference (SDC2023) taking place Jan. 24-26 at Music City Center.
The new program is an extensive assessment-based certificate program that provides the participants with detailed introductory to mid-level training on the functions of a business aircraft scheduler. Nine learning modules test key areas of aircraft scheduling at an introductory level.

Module 1: Business Aviation Basics
Module 2: Mission Control
Module 3: Global Regulations
Module 4: Technology
Module 5: Crew Scheduling
Module 6: Safety andamp; Security
Module 7: Finance, Legal andamp; Tax Responsibilities
Module 8: Pre-trip Logistics
Module 9: Real-time Trip Support
After the course has been completed, participants will know the best practices surrounding the scheduling of business aircraft. Those that finish successfully will receive a certificate and digital badge. The certificate is approved for certified aviation manager (CAM) credit. "NBAA strives to provide valuable learning opportunities for its members from all sectors of business aviation, and this latest credential will allow schedulers and others in the flight department to affirm they are among the best in the industry," NBAA Director of certification Tyler Austin said. "This program is ideal for flight department personnel who have been assigned aircraft scheduling responsibilities or professionals looking to work in business aviation operations."
Part 91 scheduler subject matter experts and Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc. collaborated on the certification program. This program was unveiled just in time for the SDC conference, beginning Tuesday.
