25 U.S. Military Veterans to receive scholarship towards obtaining Private Pilot License

The Ray Foundation, Inc. will award $300,000 in scholarships to help 25 Military Veterans earn their Private Pilot License through the University of North Dakota. Training, which will begin as early as February 2022, will take place at the UND Phoenix Flight Training Center.The scholarships will cover roughly 80% of the cost of obtaining a Private Pilot certificate through UND Phoenix. After completing the Private Pilot course, scholarship recipients will be eligible to use GI Bill® education benefits to continue pursuing advanced flight training certifications, including their Certified Flight Instructor rating.UND Phoenix is an FAA Certified Part 141 flight school located at the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (IWA). The facility is approved to train veterans and eligible dependents using VA education benefits in Arizona, preparing them for a career in aviation.Find more information about applying for the scholarship here.
