On August 21st and 22nd, car and airplane enthusiasts are once again meeting in Camarillo, California for the 40th annual Wings Over Camarillo car and airshow. This two-day event is the perfect place to spend the weekend with friends and family. Funds raised through ticket sales will go towards promoting science and aviation to youth. Wings Over Camarillo will not disappoint, the lineup of events will keep attendees entertained as well as amazed.
The airshow line up is extensive. Vicky Benzing, a California native, will be performing in her Stearman. Vicky is known for aerobatic performances as well as being a two-time Reno Air Race winner. At just 23 years old, Sammy Mason will be performing in his Pitts. Sammy is also a California native and is the youngest performer in the airshow. This is a show you will not want to miss. Sammy will light up the sky with pyrotechnics throughout his performance. The Redbull Parachute Jumpers will also be taking the sky. Redbull is known for their entertaining performances and top tier parachutists.

This year's static aircraft display has a large military presence. Military cargo, fighter, and warbird aircraft can be found on static display throughout the airshow. The large, C-17 Globemaster III will take center stage along with the F/A-18 fighter jet, C-47, and many more. Attendees can spend hours looking at the aircraft on display.

The science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) pavilion is the perfect place for youth to visit. Throughout the weekend, there will be numerous drones, robotics, and flight demonstrations. The demonstrations are hands-on, educational, and fun. Children, teenagers, and their families will keep busy with the interactive STEM activities available.
Classic Car Show
It is no secret that California is home to many classic cars. Wings Over Camarillo brings classic cars and airplanes together for attendees to enjoy. With 200 car spots available, attendees can spend hours looking at the static car display. In addition, the $20 car registration fee will go towards charity.
Car and Motorcycle Parade
The Classic/Exotic Car and Motorcycle Parade brings the best vehicles together for a parade. Only select cars will be invited to participate in the parade. The parade is one of the highlights of the entire show.
The Ventura County 99's, a group of local female pilots, are hosting a pancake breakfast. The breakfast will be served until 11am both Saturday and Sunday. Attendees can enjoy the show while eating fresh cooked pancakes and sausage. Funds from the breakfast will go towards chapter scholarships. The breakfast is one of Ventura County 99's largest fundraising events each year. The group prides themselves in helping more women take flight through scholarships and mentorships.
Wings Over Camarillo isn't just for car and airplane enthusiasts, the show will spark the interests of many. The integration of cars and airplanes separates Wings Over Camarillo from typical airshows. In addition, the airshow performers are the best of the best and will not disappoint. Eyes will be pointed to the Camarillo sky throughout the weekend.
