French Military Renews Daher TBM Support Contract

Daher's full operational support contract for TBM 700 turboprop aircraft operated under the French Ministry of the Armed Forces will be extended by seven years.The French military uses the Daher aircraft in liaison and training missions as well as for services covering aircraft and helicopter maintenance and logistics.Nicolas Chabbert, Senior Vice President of Daher's Aircraft Division, noted that this is the fourth renewal of the contract with the French Ministry for the Armed Forces.The renewed contract involves a fleet that consists currently of 26 TBM aircraft: 23 TBM 700A versions and three TBM 700Bs, all of which are based in mainland France for military air mobility and training missions. The French Air and Space force will take 15 of these aircraft, while the country's army and the DGA defense procurement agency's flight test department will each take eight and three aircraft, respectively.The 84-month contract renewal is for an expected average activity of 10,900 flight hours annually with the French military's TBM fleet and covers technical and logistical support, maintenance of airframes, engines, parts, scheduled inspections, and supply of spare parts and specific components necessary for support operations.
