FAI Transforms Global Express into a Long-Range Air Ambulance

FAI rent-a-jet has configured one of its Bombardier Global Express aircraft into an air ambulance capable of completing ultra-long-range missions. The special missions operator has completed 10 air ambulance missions in the past two months alone. When in medevac use, the Global Express can be configured for up to three Spectrum Aeromed ICUs."Over the past year, we have experienced a significant increase in demand for long and ultra-long-range air ambulance business on sorties from Europe, Africa and the Middle East," said Volker Lemke, Head of FAI's Air Ambulance Division. "Equally, we have seen increased demand in the short and medium-range repatriation air ambulance business."FAI has been at the forefront of the COVID-19 pandemic response, completing medical evacuations of infected patients and repatriation flights of unaffected healthy individuals from around the world. Its EpiShuttle isolation pod allowed for self-contained oxygen and air ventilation directly to the patient, while still being isolated from the cabin's airflow.
