Dassault Aviation has expanded its Bordeaux-Mérignac plant with a new 26,000 sq. m. building, featuring workstations, collaborative work spaces, and project offices for its civil and defense teams.Eric Trappier, Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation, noted that Mérignac would become home of operations currently based in Saint-Cloud, including defense customer support, Falcon aircraft services and industrial operations. The "center of gravity" for the design teams will, however, remain in Saint-Cloud.The new building in Mérignac will also feature 1.400 sq. m. of solar panels, as well as green roofs, smart lighting, and a heat recovery system to decrease the plant's environmental impact. More than 500 trees were also planted on the site.
