Jet East MRO Facility Lands at Millville Airport

Jet East has announced the opening of its full-service maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility at the Millville Executive Airport (MIV). Jet East will lease two of the airport's hangars, giving the company approximately 70,000 sq. ft. of space, including a maintenance hangar, storage, and offices. The deal was penned for ten years, with two optional periods of five years each, placing Jet East's potential tenancy through 2041.The Millville MRO facility will conduct heavy scheduled maintenance of corporate and private aircraft, with a focus on being a Citation Center of Excellence. The new MRO unit will be capable of performing maintenance on up to 15 aircraft and employing nearly 250 aviation maintenance technicians, avionics technicians, interior technicians, project managers, and more. "We're excited to open a new MRO facility at the Millville Executive Airport," said Stephen Maiden, President and CEO of Jet East. Maiden also noted that this location is placed in close proximity to other locations in the Jet East network.The Delaware River and Bay Authority have invested over $50 million in enhancing the airport infrastructure to allow company's like Jet East to land in Millville.Throughout its history, Millville Executive Airport has been home to various engine overhaul facilities, including Airwork, General Electric, Dallas Airmotive and, since 2009, Worldwide Turbines.
