Columbia Helicopters names new CEO and president

Columbia Helicopters Inc. has  announced the appointment of Melanie Bergier as chief executive officer and president.

Bergier brings extensive leadership experience in aviation operations, strategic growth, and organizational transformation.

In this role, Bergier will be responsible for leading Columbia Helicopters’ global operations, advancing the company’s strategic priorities, and continuing to strengthen its position as a premier provider of heavy-lift solutions worldwide.

“Mel is the right leader to guide Columbia Helicopters into its next chapter,” said Paul McElhinney, chair of the board. “Her deep understanding of our operations, commitment to safety, and focus on performance and execution make her uniquely qualified to lead the organization forward.”

Bergier has been instrumental in driving operational excellence across the company, most recently serving as chief operating officer, where she led key initiatives to improve efficiency, enhance customer service, and align the organization around its core business of MRO and air operations.
