Cirrus marks 10 years of the Vision Jet at NBAA-BACE with Part 135 and special missions in focus
Cirrus is celebrating 10 years of the Vision Jet at NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas, and the company is using the anniversary to show how far the single-engine jet has moved past personal flying. Cirrus says the Vision Jet, FAA-certified in 2016, now supports business transportation, supplemental lift, special missions and Part 135 charter operations. The company reports more than 800 deliveries worldwide.Part 135 charter is one of four mission types Cirrus names in its anniversary release. In October 2025, the company said it delivers Vision Jets to charter operators as well as business owners and entrepreneurs, and that Cirrus ownership support covers business, Part 135 and personal operations. Cirrus says the jet's value to professional operators rests on efficiency, flexibility and access to a broader network of airports on shorter missions. The clearest working example in the release is TxJet. Indiana Donor Network operates the program, which Cirrus calls the nation's first nonprofit organ transplant aviation program. TxJet flies the Vision Jet to move organs and surgical recovery teams between donor and transplant hospitals. It added a second Vision Jet in April 2025, and TxJet says Jet Logistics operates its flights. Steven Johnson, chief operating officer of Indiana Donor Network, said the jet gets the program into community airports closer to the places it serves. The Vision Jet won the 2017 Collier Trophy and has since moved through three generations. The G2 improved performance, range and the cabin. The G2+ added expanded connectivity, better takeoff performance and Safe Return Emergency Autoland. The G3 is rated at 317 ktas and FL310, and adds ATC Datalink and a 6+1 seating configuration.Cirrus delivered a record 106 Vision Jets in 2025. It says the jet has been the best-selling jet in general aviation for 8 consecutive years, citing GAMA data. The company pairs the aircraft with factory support. Type ratings are offered at the Vision Center in Knoxville, and recurrent training and instrument proficiency checks are now available at Cirrus Scottsdale. JetStream covers scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and training, and Cirrus IQ gives owners and operators connected information on aircraft status.Ten years in, the Vision Jet's range of work is the story. Cirrus's training sites, the JetStream maintenance program and connected tools are the levers that should speak to professional operators and stretch their primary market beyond private ownership.Cirrus is showing the G3 at booth 2505 in the Las Vegas Convention Center for NBAA-BACE.Browse current Cirrus Vision Jet listings on GlobalAir.com.
