Thornton Aviation completes Challenger 604 Collins Pro Line Fusion® flight deck upgrade

Van Nuys, California / September 10, 2026 - The upgrade modernizes the flight deck by providing advanced situational awareness and improved avionics functionality. Thornton Aviation performed the work in conjunction with a maintenance package, completing the total project ahead of schedule and on budget.Thornton Aviation had previously installed a Starlink system on the aircraft. The client returned to Thornton Aviation for the major avionics upgrade and scheduled maintenance. Executing the Collins Pro Line Fusion® installation alongside the maintenance package required disciplined planning, close coordination and technical expertise. Thornton Aviation's team completed the work efficiently while maintaining control of schedule, cost and quality.The Pro Line Fusion® upgrade replaces the factory-installed CRT displays in the flight deck with three 14.1-inch widescreen displays featuring advanced graphics, configurable windows and a touchscreen interface.The upgrade delivers benefits that include:• Baseline equipment required for operation in modernized airspace, including ADS-B and LPV approaches, with available FANS and Link 2000 capabilities.• Standard synthetic vision, eyes-forward flight planning and geo-referenced electronic navigation charts.• Easy, fast database updates.The project adds to Thornton Aviation's record of executing large, highly technical flight deck upgrades alongside maintenance projects for business aircraft operators.
