As aircraft transactions become more complex and more expensive, the absence of a single source of truth on prebuy inspections and valuations has become a notable industry blind spot. IADA's expanded presence at NBAA-BACE reflects its recognition of the gap, pairing transaction expertise with market intelligence to back it up. Nearly 50 IADA member companies will be featured on Oct. 20 through 22 at the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall at IADA's expanded exhibit. The organization will also co-present two education sessions on pre-purchase inspections and market outlooks. The first session will focus on pre-buy best practices and will include experts from JSSI, Stevens Aerospace andamp; Defense, Mente Group, EAP and Crew Chiefs. The second session will examine current market conditions from the perspective of dealers and brokers from 5x5 Trading, Greenwich AeroGroup/Western Aircraft, Meisner Aircraft and ACASS. The second panel will feature aircraft brokers and transaction professionals, who spend their days dealing with inventory shortages, pricing negotiations, buyer hesitancy, and seller expectations. As a result, they are often among the first to identify shifts in inventory, pricing, and buyer demand. For sellers looking at changing market conditions, this is the discussion to watch. IADA is becoming more than a trade association IADA's expanded footprint suggests transaction expertise is becoming a bigger part of the NBAA-BACE conversation, and that mirrors a broader shift in business aviation. Buyers can already get an aircraft's capabilities off a spec sheet. What they need help with is understanding it's true worth, what an inspection finding means for the deal, how fast it will resell, and where demand is heading. Those are questions for transaction professionals, not manufacturers. Why it matters IADA is making the case for a bigger stage this year: evaluation, execution and market intelligence earn their own billing at BACE alongside the aircraft. The trade group has the credibility and expertise, now it's up to the market to decide whether IADA's standards become the industry standard.
