Informal Airspace Meeting - ONT Airport area
The FAA is proposing changes to the Class C airspace at Ontario International Airport (ONT). These changes would expand Chino Airport (CNO) Class D airspace by reclassifying the airspace south of Chino Ave, and the airspace within one mile of the CNO runway extended centerline from Class C to Class D and Class E from the surface up to 2,700 feet MSL. Additionally, the Class C airspace east of Cable Airport (CCB) would be modified to exclude a portion of Class C airspace west of Euclid Ave. The proposed airspace changes would add clarity for pilots, eliminate confusion, and increase aviation safety near the affected airports (ONT, CNO, and CCB). ONT departure track data was analyzed, and the proposed change would not decrease safety for instrument operations at ONT.
An informal airspace meeting will be held virtually on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. PDT (Pacific Daylight Time).
This meeting is open to the public. The changes will be explained, and the public may ask questions during the meeting. Register to attend. There will be no admission fee or other charge to attend and participate. More information and a link to register to attend can be found on the Community Engagement — Ontario | Federal Aviation Administration page.
