Otto Aerospace partners with F/LIST to design Phantom 3500 interior
Otto Aerospace announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with F/LIST to develop the interior for its Phantom 3500.
F/LIST is an Austria-based global provider of high-end interiors for commercial aviation, business and private jets. It is an expert in advanced carbon composite construction and premium cabin creation, which is why it was chosen. It will work with Otto from the beginning stages of development and production, with F/List taking the lead. Otto states that by defining the requirements of the interior from the start, it ensures that it is fully integrated with the aircraft's structure and systems. This will allow engineers and designers to reduce weight and improve efficiency in the Phantom 3500 while still providing an imaginative and cohesive cabin experience.
"Because the Phantom is a clean-sheet aircraft, the interior isn't constrained by legacy layouts or systems," said Olivier Capistran, Otto Aerospace's principal engineer of Interiors, Furnishings and Equipment. "Working with F/LIST at this stage allows us to incorporate interior design directly into the aircraft architecture, so the cabin experience reflects the same performance and efficiency the platform is built to deliver."
One of the focal features of the Phantom 3500's cabin is its SuperNatural Vision (SNV) technology. It is the world's first ultra-wide digital passenger windows, which provide a glare-free, color-enhanced, panoramic view through digital windows. Otto claims these are lighter, quieter, safer and more energy efficient than other aircraft windows available.

"Collaborating with Otto at this stage gives us the ability to craft bespoke solutions specifically tailored to this next-generation aircraft, allowing our in-house Randamp;D innovation hub, the F/LAB, to explore concepts that will define tomorrow's interiors," said Anita Gradwohl, group director of Customer Relations and Sales at F/LIST. "We are applying our expertise in crafting bio-based materials and integrating bold concepts, while considering the structural and aesthetic requirements of the Phantom 3500, to produce a captivating, future-driven interior."
The Phantom 3500's cabin volume is over 800 sq ft, which is larger than that of typical light jets. The cabin height is over 6.4 ft and has a width of 7.5 ft, which Otto states is larger than the average super-midsize jet. The light jet has a maximum takeoff weight of 19,000 pounds and a range of 3,500 nautical miles while reducing emissions through the use of 100% SAF. The integrated fuel system will be designed with aerodynamic efficiency and structural integration goals in mind. Features of the system will include:
Full SAF compatibility
Precision integration to ensure aerodynamic preservation and structural balance
Advanced Automation with smart sensors, real-time fuel monitoring and automated flow control
Lightweight and maintainable design with high reliability and ease of service
