Award-Winning Air Carrier JSX Celebrates 10 Years of Joyful, Simple Flights
JSX, the award-winning public charter air carrier, this week celebrates its 10th anniversary, marking a decade of transforming short-haul air travel with a simpler, faster, and more seamless experience. Since its first flight in 2016, JSX has reimagined what flying can be, blending the accessibility of commercial aviation with the ease and convenience of private terminals. Growing from a bold startup into a category-defining operator, JSX has carried millions of Customers over hundreds of thousands of flights, setting a high standard for premium, attainable service in an industry fraught with hassle.
"Ten years ago, we set out to change the way people think about flying - and more importantly, how they experience it," said Alex Wilcox, CEO and co-founder of JSX. "I'm deeply grateful to every Customer, Crewmember, and partner who has helped prove there truly is a better way to fly - one that values time, comfort, and genuine hospitality."
In just 10 years, JSX has achieved a series of industry-firsts and meaningful milestones:
The first air carrier to earn "Autism Aware" recognition by Autism Double Checked, unlocking the possibilities of air travel to more neurodiverse Customers and their family and friends.
The first U.S.-based carrier to sign order intents for sustainable aircraft and currently the holder of the world's largest order intent, with up to 337 hybrid electric aircraft from manufacturers Heart Aerospace (30-seat ES-30), Aura Aero (19-seat ERA), and Electra (9-seat EL-9).
The global launch customer for SpaceX Starlink inflight connectivity, bringing free, high-speed internet to the skies using the incredible low earth orbit technology from SpaceX. JSX was the first to install Starlink on a commercial airplane and is the only air carrier to offer it fleet-wide.
Awarded world's only 5-star Regional Air Carrier status every year since becoming eligible by the Airline Passenger Experience Association.
Launched Club JSX, a radically simple loyalty program delivering up to 5% of a Customer's airfare back as future flight credit.
Flying over 100,000 pets in-cabin since launch and being the first carrier to allow dogs and cats to create accounts and earn frequent flyer Rewards through Club JSX; curating a unique pet-inclusive travel experience through an industry-leading partnership with Petco.
Adding comfortable and fuel-efficient ATR 42-600 aircraft in a premium 30-seat configuration, allowing JSX to grow into more markets while reducing fuel burn and emissions by around 50%.
"Our growth story is just beginning," said David Drabinsky, recently promoted to President of JSX. "As we look ahead to the next 10 years, we'll continue to reinvigorate short-haul travel with a vision rooted in accessibility, sustainability, and an uncompromising commitment to customer service."
JSX currently serves 29 destinations with a fleet of 54 Embraer 135/145 jets and two ATR 42-600s. The carrier expects to take delivery of five additional E145 jets and two additional ATR aircraft this year and recently became the world's first operator to install Starlink high-speed in-flight internet on the ATR 42 as of Spring 2026. JSX has also committed to three more ATRs, scheduled to arrive in 2027, which will bring its confirmed ATR fleet to seven total aircraft.
