Bombardier enters Smart Parts program service agreement with Vista
Bombardier has announced that it has entered a long-term service with Vista that focuses on its Smart Parts program.
The program provides cost coverage for component exchanges for major systems, avionics, tires, brakes, corrosion coverage and more. The agreement gives Vista a cost-per-flight-hour framework for a large portion of its current fleet and for its recent order of Challenger 3500 aircraft, which includes 40 aircraft and includes options for an additional 120 aircraft.
"This agreement marks an important step in further enhancing the reliability and performance of the Vista fleet," said Vista COO Nick van der Meer. "By leveraging Bombardier's Smart Parts programs, we are strengthening our ability to deliver a seamless and consistent experience to our clients around the world. Predictable maintenance and optimized aircraft availability are key to ensuring that every Vista flight meets the highest standards of quality, safety and service that our clients expect."
The agreement is valued at $300 million over the next five years. Vista also recently received its first Global 8000, which it plans to expand to a fleet of 18 by the end of 2026. Bombardier states the Challenger 3500 order and Global 8000 order have a combined value of $1.18 billion. If all purchase options are exercised, the total order value for all 160 aircraft would reach $4.72 billion.
