A Florida man was arrested at the Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) after crashing through a fence and attempting to board multiple aircraft. A Volusia County Sheriff deputy responded to a report on Wednesday afternoon that a blue Ford Mustang had crashed through a perimeter fence gate at the airport and into the Embry-Riddle section. The driver went onto the taxiway and was doing donuts on the ramp before nearly hitting a taxiing Embry-Riddle aircraft. He then exited his vehicle and attempted to board the aircraft, but was unable to, according to 13 News. He then ran to two unoccupied aircraft and briefly entered them before being pulled out by an airport operations technician. After being sat on his tailgate, he jumped off and ran toward an Embry-Riddle flight school Cessna 172 before being apprehended again and placed in handcuffs. The driver, later identified as Bryan J. Parker, told the authorities that he had been under the influence during the incident and did not remember what happened. The airport said in a statement that he had driven onto a secondary runway and not the main runway, so airport operations were not affected, according to NBC News. Embry-Riddle said it was aware of what happened and that its safety officers responded immediately. "I don't remember. I was at my house," said Parker in the body cam video. "I went to an AA meeting, and, next thing you know, I'm doing cocaine, drinking and smoking pot."
