Smart aircraft developer, AIR, announced on Wednesday that it has more than $1 billion in orders with over 3,300 customers on its waitlist. The orders include 3,290 AIR ONE personal aircraft and over 25 AIR Cargo heavy-lift UAS. The AIR ONE aircraft is a two-seater eVTOL designed for personal use. It can fly up to 155 miles per hour, has a range of 100 miles and a payload capacity of up to 550 lbs. It also features redundant safety layers, an airframe parachute system and an advanced simplified flight control system due to its Fly-By-Intent technology. The AIR ONE was recently included under the Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) category under the FAA's MOSAIC framework. The eVTOL orders will be fulfilled following FAA certification and the start of production. Two of the Cargo heavy-lift UAS aircraft have already been delivered. AIR has an active production line for this eVTOL and expects to produce and deliver more than 20 in 2026. It has 70 cubic feet of cargo space and can carry up to 550 lbs.
