Eve Air Mobility flies eVTOL prototype for Brazilian authorities
Eve Air Mobility has announced that it has conducted a flight of its eVTOL prototype at Embraer's test facility in Gavião Peixoto, Brazil.
The flight was part of Eve's flight test campaign on its path to certification. It was attended by Brazil's President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva; Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Luciana Santos; the Minister of Ports and Airports, Silvio Costa Filho; the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil (ANAC) President, Tiago Chagas Faierstein and Brazil's National Development Bank (BNDES) President, Aloizio Mercadante. The event was also attended by multiple members of the media.
Eve's flight test campaign completed 35 flights and accumulated almost 1.5 hours of total flight time since its first flight in Dec. 2025. The eVTOL has reached an altitude of 140 feet above ground level and has shown consistent flight behavior. Test flights have focused on low-speed operations to validate control laws, rotor aerodynamic efficiency, thermal behavior and the propulsion model. The company states that preliminary results have shown efficiency gains as propulsion and battery performance are above initial expectations and noise levels are within projections.
The company has also conducted ground testing, such as sensor calibration for measuring aerodynamic loads during flight. Eve claims these tests support the expansion of the eVTOL's flight envelope and will enable flights up to 30 knots in the future.

"We are advancing with discipline and consistency in our flight test campaign, reducing risk and building the foundation for future certification flights. The results achieved in these first months following our initial flight in December 2025 reinforce our confidence in the aircraft's architecture and our ability to deliver a safe, efficient and scalable solution for the urban air mobility market," said Eve CEO Johann Bordais.
Eve participated last week in the launch of a public consultation process that will inform Brazil's National Urban Air Mobility Policy. The eVTOL still needs to complete its technical milestones and receive approval by the relevant regulatory authorities to gain certification.
