Corvus LLC is seeking an experienced Chief Pilot to lead and oversee flight operations across a growing fleet supporting wildland fire suppression, utility operations, aerial reclamation, wildlife operations, and aerial application missions throughout the United States.

Wildland Fire Operations (Type 3, ACETA, HELCO)
Part 133 External Load / Utility Operations
Wildlife Capture and Survey Operations
Aerial Reclamation and Land Management
Aerial Application Operations
Aircraft Operated

Leadership Responsibilities
Serve as Chief Pilot in accordance with FAA Part 119 / 135 requirements
Provide leadership, direction, and oversight of all pilot personnel
Establish and maintain high standards for training, proficiency, and operational performance
Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company SOPs, and contract requirements
Foster a strong safety culture and Safety Management System (SMS)
Support and interface with USFS, DOI, and State agencies
Lead pilot recruitment, development, and retention
Assist with fleet expansion, operational growth, and strategic planning
Operational Expectations
This position requires a Chief Pilot who is comfortable operating in and overseeing:
Interagency fire operations and contract environments
Long line / external load missions
Remote and high-tempo operational environments
Multi-mission aviation operations with varying requirements
The ideal candidate will be capable of leading from the front, setting expectations, and maintaining operational excellence across all mission types.
Qualifications
2000+ hours PIC helicopter
Extensive experience in utility and/or fire operations
Previous leadership or management experience required
Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and manage pilots
Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and Part 135 operations
Current FAA Commercial Rotorcraft License
Valid Class I or Class II Medical Certificate
Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing
Preferred Experience
Previous Chief Pilot or Director of Operations experience
Experience operating under Part 135 / 133 / 137
Wildland fire contract experience (USFS / DOI)
Interagency carding experience
H125 / AStar experience
Strong background in long line and utility operations
