Passengers in the upcoming Praetor 500E and Praetor 600E private jets, its designers say, can turn their cabin into a movie theater - or enjoy a cinematic view of their flight from three panoramic external cameras. The new midsize and super-midsize jets were unveiled by Embraer Executive Jets on Tuesday morning in an online video hosted by pilot-cinematographer Kevin Larosa.Embraer Executive Jets President and CEO Michael Amalfitano said in the livestream that the new Praetors' arrival is even bolder than when the jets debuted in 2018. "Today we are redefining the entire business aviation industry by introducing innovations never before seen in this segment," he said, later describing the 600E as having a three-zone cabin feel in a two-zone cabin plane.Dubbing it as what will be the longest-range super-midsize private jet in the world, capable of London to New York nonstop, the Praetor 600E will feature a 6-foot-tall cabin with stone flooring and a 42-inch 4K OLED smart window touchscreen that doubles as a video conferencing hub. Complete with fly-by-wire and active turbulence reduction, developers expect it will be able to land at airports larger jets can't - with RGB mood lighting to boot. The Praetor 500E, according to Embraer, will also be the fastest and longest-range in its class, capable of flying Miami to Seattle or New York to LA in a single hop. It also gets the fly-by-wire and active-turbulence-reduction treatment, with a 6-foot flat-floor, stone-floored cabin and a 5,800-foot cabin altitude. Both models get an array of next-gen cabin-management tools to control temperature, lighting and audio, among other things, via app, voice command or the massive smart window. The seats in the 600E are effectively leather-wrapped Swiss Army Knives with plenty of cutting edges - providing boosted legroom, reclinable with lounge mode and an electric-assist release to return to your upright position from various track and swivel positions and headrests that move forward and aft, as well and up and down. Armrests feature touch-screen controls and wireless charging. And the firmness of the cushions can be customized on order. The divan in the 600E is a lounger with multiple positions, including a bed, while the expanded galley includes a control panel with cabin presets, in addition to having more storage and larger counters and ice drawers compared to its Praetor predecessor. Both models will be equipped with Embraer Enhanced Vision System (E2VS) and Embraer's Runway Overrun Awareness and Alerting System (ROAAS). Embraer expects deliveries on new orders to begin in the first quarter of 2029.PREVIOUS STORIES: Embraer scraps turboprop project, posts record numbers for Q3 (2025) Embraer warns of order delays as it negotiates end of 10% aircraft tariff
