Campbell Oil upgrades FBO infrastructures across the East Coast
Campbell Oil Company, a Phillips 66 Aviation marketer and fuel distributor, announced on Jan. 16 that it will be expanding the infrastructure at FBOs across the East Coast. The company claims the upgrades are to help customers receive efficient, high-quality service.
"These projects demonstrate dedication to improving regional aviation infrastructure and supporting the future of general aviation," said Joe Campbell, Campbell's Wholesale Division president. "By strengthening these facilities, we are ensuring they remain safe, efficient, and equipped to meet the growing needs of pilots and the communities they serve."
The FBO at the Duplin County Airport (DPL) in Kenansville, North Carolina, has already upgraded its connector taxiway A3 with new signage, pavement and lights. A new fuel farm with a 20,000-gallon Jet-A tank and a 12,000-gallon Avgas tank is currently in its early stages. Other additions include a 12,000 sq ft corporate hangar with 3,000 sq ft of customizable office space, a 60 by 70 ft maintenance facility and plans for a new apron design.
The Mount Airy Airport (MWK) FBO in Mount Airy, North Carolina, has a new 10,000-square-foot terminal with new crew facilities and space for a planned restaurant. A fuel farm with a 10,000-gallon self-serve Avgas tank, a 12,000-gallon Jet-A tank and a new Avgas fuel truck later in 2026. The FBO in the Lumberton Regional Airport (LBT) in Lumberton, North Carolina, is currently building a 12-unit T-hangar with a dual-sided box hangar with office space and is planning to expand its parking lot and add MOGAS fuel services by mid-July. The Halifax-Northampton Regional Airport (IXA) FBO in Halifax, North Carolina, plans to extend its taxiway apron, upgrade the runway fencing, upgrade its fueling operations and replace its lighting with LEDs.

The FBO at the Suffolk Executive Airport (SFQ) in Riverhead, New York, is undergoing construction of a 14-bay T-hangar and is expanding the hangar capacity and offerings for based aircraft.
