ARGUS, WINGX release aircraft activity reports for the end of 2025
ARGUS Analytics has released its December aircraft activity report and WINGX has released its 2025 business jet activity report."December finished right around where we expected, which is a welcome result," said Travis Kuhn, Senior VP of Software at ARGUS. "Ultimately, we closed out a year of strong growth in North America and around the world. As we turn the page into 2026 the same areas will remain in focus for us: Large cabin aircraft, Part 91 activity and the growth trajectory of the Fractional market."
Argus reports that global flight activity in December increased by 4.2% year-over-year but decreased by 1.4% compared to November 2025. The North American region experienced a 2.1% increase from Dec. 2024, meaning that 11 out of 12 months in 2025 finished with a positive year-over-year result. February was the only negative month. Fractional activity finished the month up by 8.4%. Part 135 activity increased by 1.6%, but Part 91 decreased by 0.2%. The overall aircraft categories were mostly positive for the month, up by 2.1% compared to Dec. 2024. Midsize cabin jets had the largest gain of 4.4%. Small cabin jets and turboprops increased by 2.7% and 0.8%, respectively. Large cabin jets fell by 1.2% year-over-year.
The European market rose for eight months straightafter a rise of 1.3% compared to December 2024. Activity did drop from Nov. 2025 to Dec. 2025 by 2%. Large and midsize cabin jets increased year-over-year by 5% and 3.9%, respectively, but both small cabin jets and turboprops saw a decrease. All aircraft types had a decrease in activity compared to November, except large cabin jets, which had an increase of 0.7%.

The rest of the world saw an increase in activity when compared to both Dec. 2024 and Nov. 2025. Activity increased by 11.1% year-over-year, with small cabin jets having the largest gain at 20.8%. Large cabin jets had the smallest gain at 4.9%. When compared to Nov. 2025, activity in Dec. 2025 grew by 5.1%, and midsize cabin jets had the largest increase with 9.7%. Turboprops had the smallest gain at 2.4%.
WINGX called 2025 the busiest year ever for global business aviation, with flight sectors up by 5% in 2025 compared to 2024. The third quarter had the most growth year-over-year with 6.3% growth. September was stated to be the stand-out month with 9% growth. North America had a 72% share of global business jet traffic in 2025, the largest share overall. Africa represented only 1% of traffic but had the largest growth year-over-year at 15%. Europe remained mostly flat, with only a 1% increase in activity. Latin America grew by 11% and represented 6% of flight activity. Asia grew by 4% and represented 3% of all flights. The Middle East represent 2% of traffic but grew by 7%.
