Cessna Citation M2 Gen2 with Garmin Autothrottle enters into service
Textron announced on Wednesday that the Cessna Citation M2 Gen2 with Garmin Autothrottles has entered into service.
The Citation M2 Gen2 is the most delivered light-entry jet in the world and can operate on runways as short as 3,210 feet. It has a maximum cruise speed of 404 knots and a range of 1,550 nautical miles and is powered by two Williams FJ44-1AP-21 engines. It features luxury interior styling while still providing utility with wireless charging capabilities and USB-A ports at each cabin seat. Extra leg room was added to the co-pilot position for enhanced comfort and it has seating for a maximum of eight occupants.
The company claims that the addition of the Garmin Autothrottle system provides greater control and precision to the light-entry jet. The system is designed to assist pilots throughout the flight and protect against dangerous speed conditions.
