A Beechcraft 55 Baron crash-landed on top of a car on I-95 in Brevard County, Florida, near Cocoa on Monday. The crash was caught on dashcam footage and has been widely shared across social media, showing the moment of impact as the aircraft landed on and bounced off a 2023 Toyota Camry.The twin-engine piston aircraft, tail number N95KC, registered to Tailwinds Flying LLC, attempted an emergency landing around 5:45 p.m., officials said. Both people on board, the pilot, a 27-year-old man from Orlando, and a passenger, a 27-year-old man from Temple Terrace, walked away uninjured.The driver of the vehicle, a 57-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital. The crash forced the temporary closure of southbound lanes on I-95, creating major rush-hour delays. Traffic reportedly returned to normal just before 9 p.m. The FAA reported the plane experienced engine issues before it crashed, according to the Aviation Safety Network, but is still investigating. This was the second plane crash to occur in Central Florida on Monday. A Cessna 172 Skyhawk crash-landed in Deland, Florida, near Deland High School. The single-engine Cessna came down around 2 p.m., according to the Volusia Sheriff's Office. Two people were on board the aircraft. The Sheriff's Office said both were conscious at the scene and were taken to an area hospital. The pilot had minor injuries, while the passenger had serious injuries.
