Global 8000 achieves lower cabin altitude, gets certified in Canada
Bombardier has announced that its Global 8000 has set a new industry benchmark for cabin altitude and has been awarded Transport Canada Type Certification. The company states that the jet is on track to enter service this year. FAA and EASA certification is expected to follow soon."Bombardier has worked rigorously and collaboratively with Transport Canada toward certification for the Global 8000," said Stephen McCullough, senior VP of engineering and product development at Bombardier. The Global 8000 has a cabin altitude of 2,691 ft at 41,000 ft, the lowest in business aviation. Combined with Bombardier's Pur Air air filtration system, the company states that the low altitude will help passengers maintain their best physical well-being so that they arrive at their destinations feeling refreshed."The ultimate comfort in the sky is feeling like you're at home.
