Nimbl strengthens its leadership within the NBAA's International Operators Committee (IOC) with its VP, Strategic Partnerships, Clément Meersseman, being appointed as the Committee's Europe Lead. This is a natural progression for both Meersseman and Nimbl, as they have long provided expertise and supported international flight operations aligned with the IOC's mission. Additionally, Meersseman has been designated as the co-chair of the National OpSpec Work Group, alongside fellow co-chair Jeff Paugh of Delta Air Lines. This longstanding work group—made up of some of the world's largest airlines and business aviation operators—plays a vital role in shaping strategy and advocating for clearer guidance and operating rules within the operations specifications (OpSpecs) framework. Meersseman's insights, supported by Nimbl's team of international operations advisors, will further strengthen this effort and help operators remain safe and compliant with global regulations."Clément's new responsibilities reflect Nimbl's commitment to elevating safety and compliance across global operations," said Mark Baier, Nimbl CEO. "His experience with international operators combined with our team's depth of expertise strengthens our ability to support the industry and contribute to the important work of the IOC and National OpSpec Work Group," Meersseman echoed this commitment, noting the significance of closely tracking developments across Europe's business aviation landscape. "As we continue to advocate for international operator needs and support growth in the European business aviation sector, remaining proactive is one of our priorities."Just as significant, the National OpSpec Work Group's primary responsibility is to evaluate proposed changes, provide recommendations to the FAA, and collaborate to ensure operational authorizations remain both practical and effective. Under Meersseman's co-leadership, one of the National OpSpec Work Group's priorities will be to expand the participation of Part 135 operators and assure them that issues specific to their operations will be addressed more effectively.
