King Aerospace has secured a U.S. government contract to coordinate and perform depot-level maintenance for the FAA's fleet of Beechcraft King Air Model 300/360 turboprops. King Aerospace Inc., based in Addison, TX, will serve as the prime contractor, while King Aerospace Commercial Corp. will act as the principal subcontractor. There will also be additional support from FAA Part 145-certified repair stations in the region. "This new opportunity is a strong endorsement of our expert operational management and dedicated maintenance programs, as well as our decades of experience with coordinating complex logistics and on-site repair needs," said King Aerospace President Jarid King. "We look forward to providing years of exemplary service to our customer." The contract covers scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, phase inspections, and AOG response. King Aerospace will also be responsible for technical and engineering support for the FAA King Air fleet. The fleet is currently based at Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center and operates out of Will Rogers Airport (OKC) in Oklahoma City. "This milestone reflects our unwavering commitment to God, Country, and Family," added Bob Blanchard, vice president of business development, "and to supporting America through dependable, mission-focused aviation excellence. We're honored to continue serving those who keep our nation flying." Rob Burchett, King Aerospace's business development manager, highlighted the company's experience with the King Air platform, including nearly a decade of support for the U.S. Army's C-12 fleet, which logged more than 300 flight hours per month. "In bidding for this contract, we knew we offered the best value for our customer," he adds. "We're close by, we're highly familiar with the aircraft, and we look forward to making a positive difference for our customer." The FAA currently operates 17 King Air 300-series aircraft for navigational aids testing and verification, including en route NAVAIDs and instrument landing systems at airports nationwide. The agency is expected to receive its first all-new King Air 360 in 2027.
