Allegiant Air becomes official airline sponsor for Notre Dame Athletics

Allegiant Air announced Tuesday it is now the official airline sponsor for Notre Dame Athletics.Allegiant and Notre Dame Global Partnerships entered into a multi-year agreement, which the airline says demonstrates its dedication to the South Bend, Indiana, community.Allegiant began operations at South Bend International Airport (SBN) 10 years ago and currently has eight routes from the airport."With a shared commitment to excellence, it is a natural fit for Allegiant to align our brand with Notre Dame Athletics," said Drew Wells, Allegiant's chief commercial officer. "We have been flying Notre Dame students and alumni for two decades, and we know sports have the universal power to unite people with a common goal of celebrating their favorite teams. We're excited to expand our presence in the South Bend community and welcome the Fighting Irish on board."Notre Dame Athletics will be able to use Allegiant services to give fans, students, and alumni more travel options. The partnership will also be used to fly many of the university's athletic teams. It will increase Allegiant's brand presence across the university's athletic programs through social and digital content and exclusive fan engagement initiatives, according to the release.The partnership launched with Notre Dame's 2025 fall sports season and in time for fans to travel to see Notre Dame football take on the University of Miami."We're pleased to welcome Allegiant's partnership and mutual commitment to investing in the South Bend community," said Jim Fraleigh, deputy athletics director for corporate relations.
