Attention all pilots,

There is going to be extensive construction at the Boise Airport for the next six months.  During this time Taxiway Delta will be relocated.  There will be numerous phases during the construction.  There will be future SPANS notices with attachments to update open closed runways and movement areas.  During this first phase of construction Runway 10L/28R will be closed.  There will be a portion of the closed runway that will be used for taxiing aircraft as depicted in the attachment between taxiway D and taxiway M.  With only one runway available, opportunities for pattern work will be severely reduced, especially during daylight hours.  Taxi routes will change during each phase as construction progresses. Dates in the construction plan are weather dependent and may change.

** UPDATE 6/19/2024**

There is no back taxiing on the closed runway 28R this phase.  The major thing will be Taxiway Delta will be closed North of  runway 28L/10R. Aircraft parking on the north side of the airport will have to use a different intersection.  For aircraft parking on the south side of the airport there will be no restrictions as Taxiway Delta will be open to the South. Further updates will be forthcoming as work progresses.

** UPDATE 7/31/2024**

Looks like we are to the phase change for the end of next week (8/9/2024).  There will be a time that both runways are open while they transition.  But as far as D4 goes, Rwy 28R/10L will be open.  Rwy 28L/10R will be closed.  Taxiway Bravo will be open.   This will be the configuration for about 45 days before the next phase.
