Job Description:
Maritime Helicopters, Inc. is seeking experienced Lead A&P Certified Aircraft Maintenance Technicians with a background in helicopter maintenance. This role involves primarily hangar work in Fairbanks, Alaska, with occasional field work during the summer at various locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Director of Maintenance
- Collaborate with the Director of Maintenance, Chief Inspector, and Operations to set and prioritize daily and weekly activities
- Mentor, enhance skills, build trust, and promote teamwork within the maintenance crew; monitor crew performance
- Provide technical guidance to technicians assigned to an aircraft
- Demonstrate technical competence on assigned aircraft and provide on-the-job training to other maintenance technicians as needed
- Conduct daily area inspections to ensure a clean and safe working environment
- Perform periodic toolbox inspections and participate in or lead daily toolbox talks
Company Will Provide:
- Airline travel to Alaska
- Company housing for 60-90 days
- Limited use of company vehicle for 60-90 days
- Training on Bell 206, 407, 412, and Eurocopter BO-105, including Rolls Royce Engine Turbine Training and FADEC Training (some on-the-job training); occasional onsite training by factory representatives
- MHI-sponsored OAS (Office of Aviation Services) carding after meeting the minimum time on type, required for certain government contracts including firefighting
- Factory training at Bell Factory in Dallas, Texas for longer-term commitments once proficient in field maintenance
