Beechcraft is celebrating 60 years of the King Air series at the upcoming 50th anniversary Sun ‘n Fun. This year at the 50th annual Sun ‘n FUun AeroSpace Expo at the Lakeland Linder Regional Airport in Florida, celebrate the anniversary of the iconic Beechcraft King Air series. The King Air turboprop was introduced in 1964, becoming an aircraft synonymous with unwavering reliability, excellent performance and versatility. The aircraft has become a trusted option for pilots and operators globally. The King Air series has been crafted with specific attention to detail, inspiring many aviation enthusiasts and pilots alike, encouraging them to boost mission potential and celebrate a love for flying. There have been over 7,700 King Air deliveries to customers globally since it was introduced 60 years ago, achieving the rank of best-selling turboprop family in the world. The global King Air fleet has surpassed 64 million flight hours and served in roles of all branches of the U.S. military, flying both commercial and special missions around the world. Among its lineup of impressive aircraft at the upcoming SUN ‘n FUN show are more Cessna and Beechcraft aircraft. The aircraft on display include the Cessna Skyhawk, Cessna Turbo Skylane, Cessna Caravan, Beechcraft King Air 360 and Cessna Citation M2 Gen2. McCauley Propeller Systems will have four propellers on display, including a 5-blade C1106 for the Beechcraft Denali, a fixed pitch, two two-blade constant speed and a three-blade constant speed propeller. Textron eAviation will also showcase a range of Pipistrel aircraft including the Velis Electro, Alpha Trainer and Panthera.
