This year at NBAA-BACE fuel up with sustainability in mind with the SAF offerings at three airports in the Las Vegas area. The NBAA announced the sustainable offering on Thursday. The NBAA announced that attendees at this year's convention will have access to SAF at the Henderson Executive Airport (HND), North Las Vegas Airport (VGT) and Harry Reid International Airport (LAS). With SAF available at the three airports, aviation carbon emissions can be reduced by up to 80 percent. The convention will take place from Oct. 17-19 at the Las Vegas Convention Center and HND. This year the SAF offering is in line with the industry goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions.Atlantic Aviation at LAS World Fuel Services will provide 40,000 gallons of fuel at HND, which is more than double the total SAF that was available at the airport for the 2021 convention. SAF will be offered at VGT for the first time in concurrence with the convention. Atlantic Aviation also announced Thursday that it is offering both locally delivered SAF and book and claim gallons. World Fuel Services will supply Atlantic's LAS location with 16,000 gallons before the show and local SAF will be delivered throughout the event. Gallons will also be delivered to Atlantic from some of its California locations in Los Angeles (LAX), Long Beach (LGB) and Stockton (SCK) by book and claim through the FBOs SAF Marketplace. "We are extremely mindful of business aviation's responsibility to combat climate change and work towards a cleaner environment," said Brian Corbett, Chief Commercial andamp; Sustainability Officer at Atlantic Aviation. "SAF is jet fuel, and currently it is the most meaningful way to make an impact on aviation emissions. Atlantic is committed to doing our part to drive change with simple and reliable advancements across our network." This year the convention will highlight the industry's focus on sustainability and the emphasis on innovation and advancement. NBAA-BACE is the world's largest business aviation event and brings industry members from all over. The convention offers a look into the latest innovations and technologies in the industry. The event includes educational sessions, speakers and static displays. This year, attendees can have an up-close look at some of the latest developments in sustainable technology in the industry. The SAF offerings are another opportunity for attendees to contribute to the decarbonization of aviation. "Providing SAF for aircraft departing from this year's convention not only makes the event more sustainable, but allows NBAA members to take an active role in helping the industry to achieve our net-zero target," NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen said.
