Fund an Angel silent auction begins, BizAv community shows support
The Corporate Angels Network Fund an Angel silent auction is live and ends on the second night of the NBAA-BACE convention, on Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m.
The business aviation community is supporting CAN at the auction, held in conjunction with the NBAA-BACE convention at Resorts World. The auction went live on Wednesday and will take donations until the time of the event. Participants may show support by placing a bid, sponsoring, donating an item or purchasing tickets for the reception. Over 40 items are currently available for bidding including CAE recurrent training on a Citation Bravo or Citation VII and an E-Z- GO Express S4 ELiTE Electric Golf Cart.
Participants can place bids on art prints, training sessions, FBO gift cards, watches, bags, coolers, signed memorabilia, tickets to sporting events and airline miles. Bid on an item or donate money for Humble Heroes visits, a non-profit aiming to lift spirits by visiting the children disguised as superheroes. As of Wednesday afternoon, the event has raised over $374,000 of its $500,000 goal.
The money raised goes toward the important mission of transporting cancer patients to care using business aircraft. CAN is a nonprofit that helps to arrange free travel for patients, using corporate aircraft to help provide travel options for patients in areas with minimal airline access. Participation is open to cancer patients as well as bone marrow and stem cell donors and recipients, free of charge.Place a bid and make a donation today
