Avfuel is keeping sustainability at the forefront of 2023 NBAA-BACE. In its 50th year of operation, Avfuel is helping to provide OEMs and FBOs with alternative fuel options like SAF, developing new programs and serving more customers than ever. From the start of NBAA-BACE, Avfuel has helped industry members travel with sustainability in mind, enhancing the supply to OEMs and FBOs ahead of the convention. The leading independent aviation fuel supplier assisted Textron Aviation and Embraer in flying on Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel to Las Vegas ahead of the event. This green mission follows the addition of a new location for SAF supply, at Atlantic Aviation in Stockton, California. "As a fuel supplier, we take our responsibility to further sustainable initiatives incredibly seriously," Avfuel Executive VP C.R. Sincock II said. "Sustainable aviation fuel is a today solution. We are thankful for partners like Textron Aviation, Embraer and Atlantic Aviation — along with all our SAF-adopting FBO and corporate flight department customers — for embracing the single most effective solution for aviation emissions reductions. We will continue to look for opportunities to make the fuel more accessible for greater use across business aviation, helping our industry achieve its goal to attain net-zero emissions by 2050." Both Textron and Embraer regularly take fuel for ordinary operations, but for the convention, Avfuel worked with the OEMs and Neste to ensure the companies had a generous supply to effectively reduce emissions for convention operations. These efforts included timing Emrbaer's delivery ahead of the convention and sending an extra truckload to Textron. The SAF fuel has one of the highest average blend ratios in business aviation, with 30/70 SAF to petroleum-based jet fuel. Each truckload of SAF can reduce carbon emissions by 19 metric tons across its lifecycle, which is the equivalent of the amount of carbon emissions from consuming 44 barrels of oil. The SAF is now commercially available and is the most effective way to reduce the carbon footprint of bizav operations, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80 percent compared to fossil jet fuel. For 50 years, Avfuel Corporation has been a leading supplier of aviation fuel and services, keeping its customers in mind as it grows and expands services to fit their needs. As the company celebrates its golden jubilee it conducts business in 149 countries, with over 675 branded FBOs across North America and Europe. Avfuel makes up a 28 percent market share of branded FBOs in the U.S., more than any other branded fuel supplier. The network is growing as Avfuel adds contract fuel locations, now spanning more than 3,500 global locations. The fueling locations are at key airports within the expansive network and within each, Avfuel's flight department customers can fly and fuel. In addition to providing SAF and services to NBAA-BACE attendees, Avfuel is debuting its new program, Avfuel Zero. The new program is designed to empower flight operators to manage and reduce carbon emissions while promoting sustainability in the industry. Avfuel Zero is currently in its beta testing phase and is working toward revolutionizing the way aviation stakeholders address their impact on the environment and manage their carbon portfolio. With the introduction of the new program, Avfuel can offer customers a comprehensive solution to measure, reduce, audit and report carbon emissions. "With Avfuel Zero, we'll be taking the complication out of sustainable aviation operations," Sincock said. "As the entity that directly provides sustainable solutions to operators, we're uniquely qualified to help them identify what their emissions reduction needs are, how to meet those needs and how to report them. By consolidating these services under one Avfuel program, we'll simplify what has been a complex process. We have operators' end-to-end solution—no third-party needed." Like other Avfuel programs, Avfuel Zero offers operators complete flexibility. A team of sustainability experts will be there to offer support from the beginning or meet with operators wherever they may be in their journey to decarbonization. Avfuel Zero begins with an assessment to help operators measure carbon emissions and provide them with crucial data to understand the environmental impact. The program will then help operators create custom emissions reduction plans using a variety of sustainable solutions like SAF, book and claim for SAF and carbon credits. Avfuel Zero will simplify the process of tracking reductions over time and provide customers with the necessary certifications and detailed reports to demonstrate their commitment to sustainability. "Responsible environmental stewardship is essential for the future of aviation," Sincock said. "We're confident Avfuel Zero will set a new standard for sustainability in the aviation industry and add another innovative service to the fuel supplier portfolio. It's one more way we're demonstrating our commitment to leading business aviation's sustainability initiative." Avfuel Zero is the latest in the company's sustainability initiatives, including supporting new technology, investing in SAF feedstocks and electrification. Neste MY SAF is made from 100 percent, sustainably sourced renewable waste and residue raw material like used cooking oil. The SAF is a fully approved drop-in fuel and once it is blended with petroleum jet fuel, the SAF meets ASTM D-1655 specifications for conventional jet fuel and performance standards under all operating conditions. As the sustainable options grow, so does the Avfuel customer base. As a 50-year-strong operation, Avfuel has over 65,000 members and over 28,000 of these members actively gain rewards from quarterly flying and fueling. The pilot loyalty rewards program AVTRIP was the first fuel loyalty rewards program of its kind in 1988 and now remains a preferred rewards program in the industry. Attendees at NBAA-BACE can enjoy their own perks with nearly $20,000 in cash and prizes. Avfuel is presenting 24 of its FBO-branded partners in booth #N4702 at the convention. About 50 members of the Avfuel team will be at the convention to tell attendees about the various divisions on site and help them discover what Avfuel solutions can do for their unique needs. Conventioneers can try the Avfuel Stroll to Roll promotion, scratching off tickets and rolling dice to win a gift card. AVTRIP Points and one of two $1,973 grand prizes in honor of the company's 50th anniversary. There are chances to play and win prizes at all 24 FBO kiosks. As well as numerous opportunities to win all kinds of prizes, Avfuel is offering hospitality to eventgoers. Threshold Aviation Group is presenting a daily coffee station and Castle andamp; Cooke Aviation is supplying Otis Spunkmeyer chocolate chip cookies daily, like in Avfuel's early days when every load of fuel included a tin of delicious cookies. "We're always excited to be at BACE, but even more so this year as we reflect on 50 years of serving this incredible industry," Sincock said. "As we celebrate 50 years of aviation dedication, growth and innovation for our customers, it's humbling to reminisce on where it all started. We've spent a half-century listening to our customers' needs and ideas. We owe a lot of Avfuel's growth to them and look forward to thanking some of them in person at the show." "I've witnessed Avfuel's growth firsthand since I was quite young and am honored to have been part of its evolution since officially joining the team 15 years ago," he said. "We're excited to update attendees on Avfuel's latest products and services, as well as discuss what's to come as an energy provider for the next generation of aviation. Even more importantly, we're ready to listen to the needs of our customers and prospects while we're face-to-face with them. I can tell you, we're taking the legacy of innovation that shaped Avfuel and aviation in the last 50 years into the next 50. It's that listening that's made the Avfuel difference.2023 NBAA-BACE CoverageACJ TwoTwenty makes NBAA-BACE debut Cessna Citation CJ3 Gen2 announced at NBAA-BACE, Textron names first customerDaher celebrates 500th TBM 900-series deliveryBoeing to offer new buying process, interior options with new BBJ SelectHondaJet Echelon unveiled at NBAA-BACE as a light jet that can perform like a midsizeBombardier reveals EcoJet phase 2 testing progressFAA, NTSB leaders headlining panel at 2023 NBAA-BACEJSSI launches PartsHub at 2023 NBAA-BACE
