Textron to offer carbon offsetting program to Beechcraft, Cessna, Hawker owners
Textron announced Monday it was launching the new ProAdvantage program, SustainableAdvantage, to provide owners with an option to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from operating aircraft. Through a collaboration with 4AIR, the program is set to launch in January for customers who own and operate Cessna, Beechcraft and Hawker turbine aircraft.
Beechcraft, Cessna and Hawker customers will receive factory-direct support, maintenance and modifications by Textron through its global network of service and part centers, mobile service units and 24/7 1CALL AOG support. Textron will administer SustainableAdvantage as part of the ProAdvantage programs and connect owners to 4AIR. Partner 4AIR is the first company to offer comprehensive sustainability solutions for business aviation. The new program will offer owners an option to offset their aircraft emissions footprint with 4AIR's Bronze Level. Carbon offsets can reduce emissions which can be claimed against the carbon footprint of an operating aircraft.
4AIR, an aviation industry pioneer offering sustainable solutions, will provide owners wishing to join the SustainableAdvantage program with a personalized annual report, documenting their offset purchases. The company will also offer monitoring and compliance reporting requirements for the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) and the European Union, French and United Kingdom Emissions Trading Systems (ETS) and other ESG reporting requirements.RELATED STORY:Ryan Aviation Group to reduce carbon footprint through partnership with 4AIR
