Comlux and Pratt andamp; Whitney are collaborating to provide Airbus ACJ Twotwenty engine maintenance services for customers. Comlux is currently the only operator of the ACJ TwoTwenty aircraft, exclusively powered by the Pratt andamp; Whitney PW1500G engines, and customers can now benefit from cooperation with the engine manufacturer. The engine services were curated to support corporate and private aviation operators based on the more than three million engine hours of commercial operations. The performance of the PW1500G engines installed on the ACJ TwoTwenty already in service has been outstanding. "In private aviation, customers like to have a full support package for their aircraft operation," Comlux Aviation CEO Andrea Zanetto said. "Airbus is offering such option for the airframe, Comlux for the cabin, and this collaboration with Pratt andamp; Whitney is the complement we need to make all customers comfortable when buying the ACJ TwoTwenty."RELATED STORIES:ACJ TwoTwenty makes NBAA-BACE debutComlux delivers first-ever ACJ TwoTwenty with brand new cabin Comlux delivered the world's first ACJ TwoTwenty with a brand-new cabin to FIVE Hotels and Resorts in May 2023. Airbus Corporate Jet debuted the plane at NBAA-BACE in October. The ACJ TwoTwenty has more than double the cabin space of a conventional long-range business jet. Despite having twice the cabin space as a traditional ultra-long-range business jet, the ACJ Two Twenty has lower operating costs due to its reduced maintenance and training costs. The Pratt andamp; Whitney engines have been designed for lower fuel burn and CO2 emissions. These features will lower costs and reduce the environmental impact. "Pratt andamp; Whitney GTF engines offer unmatched fuel efficiency and range, as well as a 75% reduction in noise footprint," said Nick Tomassetti, Pratt andamp; Whitney VP of sales and marketing. "We are supporting Comlux and its customers with engine maintenance services for the ACJ TwoTwenty, a unique aircraft offering in the business jet landscape."
