Duncan Aviation begins drone repairs
Duncan Aviation's Dallas satellite shop has begun performing commercial cargo drone repairs to support the burgeoning Unmanned Aerial Vehicle industry.
The Dallas Satellite is the first Duncan service facility to add drone repair capability to a growing list of avionics services offered at Duncan locations. Dallas has a team of dedicated and professionally trained technicians able to provide both scheduled and unscheduled work, troubleshooting, wire harness repair, GPS signal inspection and the replacement of failing components.
The use of commercial drones has grown in popularity across the U.S. to deliver groceries and medicine or for aerial photography. As drone popularity grows, so does the demand to service and maintain the large number of drones across the country. Like other aircraft, drones require scheduled inspections and unexpected repairs. With a trusted and experienced team, the Dallas Satellite can provide required services and help UAV operators keep their fleets flying.
Duncan Aviation continually works to anticipate the needs of the industry, positioning itself at the forefront of business aviation. The company has researched and invested in additional resources to continue expanding services to provide for this emerging technology. Duncan has a large network with three full-service facilities and 30 Satellites around the U.S. Duncan is prepared to provide for the growing UAV sector, offering services like avionics support, component repairs, battery maintenance and part sales.
"We are excited to begin serving customers who are investing in this emerging technology," said Mark Cote, VP of Duncan Aviation Components Services and Satellites. "Providing services for UAV operators is an extension of our core business and a good example of how we grow and innovate to better serve the industry and our customers as they evolve."
