Avfuel Corporation and Neste have finalized a partnership to remain at the forefront of the SAF supply for business aviation. The partnership began in 2021 and this extension will allow both companies to lead in the sustainability effort. The agreement extends the previous partnership in 2024 through December 2027. With this agreement, Avfuel and Neste will continue to work toward enhancing access to Neste MY Sustainable Fuel for business aviators, encompassing the entire sector, from the corporate flight departments and FBOs to the major OEMs. Since the start of the partnership, Avfuel's uptake of SAF has seen immense growth, tripling each year. Keeping in line with this trend, Avfuel will triple its offtake from Neste again in 2024 with the expectations that this path will continue for years to come. The latest agreement with Neste will accommodate the rapid growth to ensure a stable and sustainable supply chain for Avfuel and its customers. The extension of this partnership comes at a crucial time, as Neste began supplying SAF out of its terminal capacity in Los Angeles early this month. The new terminal location will improve access to SAF in terms of volume and geography, enhancing Avfuel's ability to supply sustainable alternatives across the western U.S. Avfuel will source SAF from both of Neste's terminals in northern and southern California to expand supply into newer markets and states. "We are proud to not only continue our partnership with Neste, but also immensely grow its scope with greater product access," said Keith Sawyer, Avfuel's manager of alternative fuels. "This agreement underscores our mutual commitment to reducing emissions and advancing the adoption of eco-friendly solutions in aviation." "We are proud to extend our partnership with Avfuel and enable its customers to reduce the emissions from their air travel by using Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel," said Alexander Kueper, VP of renewable aviation at Neste. "Neste is fully committed to supporting the aviation industry in reducing greenhouse gas emissions by working closely together with partners like Avfuel, and we look forward to continuing to work together as we expand our SAF production and supply capabilities." Avfuel will be attending the NBAA Schedulers andamp; Dispatchers Convention this week in booth #841, bringing a strong presence alongside 65 partner FBOs to promote sustainable solutions like SAF. At the event, Avfuel will be showcasing its new program, AvfuelZero, which allows operators to simplify their sustainability journey with a streamlined five-step approach. Assess emissions created by aviation operations Set achievable goals, like meeting the requirements of association accreditation programs Decrease emissions by using in-house solutions like SAF, book and claim and carbon offsetting Communicate and report progress Audit compliance SDC attendees can explore the Avfuel Aisles to find premier fueling locations, win boutique prizes and learn more about what services the company offers, including insurance, trip planning, contract fuel and loyalty rewards. "We love opportunities to be on-site to engage with industry professionals and showcase Avfuel's commitment to business aviation—from industry-leading programs to sustainable offerings," Avfuel VP of Marketing Marci Ammerman said. "It's what our industry is all about facilitating connections and pushing innovative envelopes that scale throughout the world of aviation."
